This second Monday of May we celebrate Es Firó in the town of Sóller.
This festivity commemorates of the defense of the valley and subsequent victory of the sollercis over the invading troops of Moors on the 11th of May 1561.
Es Firó, a popular festivity all over the island, is a massive celebration that gathers peasants, bandits and Moors in a coordinated simulacrum organized by Sóller’s City hall.
